Repeat purchase of Merrell Moab boots My third pair of these Merrell Moab boots, which says it all. On the plus side they are very comfortable without being too heavy and on the minus, they wear out faster than I would like .Walking an average 4 country miles a day I get 9 to 12 months out of them. The Goretex lining in particular does not keep them waterproof for very long and I use a pair of heavier leather boots for very wet conditions. They are light for warmer weather while giving good grip and support.

A real favourite, but… This is the third pair of Moab Mid boots I have purchased. Amazingly comfortable for my wide feet, the first pair were used regularly in the hills and for dog walking. After 2 years, the Goretex ‘gave up’ and they’re only fit for days when the ground is dry. Bought a replacement pair which only lasted 6 months before the same thing happened – returned to Amazon who immediately reimbursed me for them with no fuss. Not fit for my purpose I am a gardener and I have warn these nearly every day since buying them in March this year. From day 1 they were a lot more comfortable than Berghaus Explorer Trek which I had previously used for a number of years.
